Having the Douro as the protagonist, from here one can see at north of the Douro, the city of Porto, the town of Melres and the Penafiel region. At south of the river we can see the cities of Gaia, Pedorido, Oliveira do Arda and Raiva, as well as the river Arda and its mouth into the Douro. Geologically, it is an important site.
