RAP® is a route that differentiates itself distinguished by valuing elements of natural and cultural heritage lrelated to water and stone. Waterfalls, rivers, prehistoric engravings, peat bogs, ancient mines, dolmens, monoliths, fossils, geological phenomena, valleys and quartzite bookstores are some of the reasons to discover in a territory of breathtaking landscapes with valleys and mountains cut by millions of years of erosion. Man and nature operated in harmony within these places, with villages, terraces and waterways shaping the landscape, transforming this region into one of the most beautiful in Portugal.

The discovery of the Magical Mountains is done through a kind of metropolitan line map, with stops made up of places to visit, in the immensity of the mountains between the rivers Douro and Vouga. The lines are the natural elements that prevail here, alternating between rivers and mountains. From south to north, the lines of Vouga (V), Arestal (T), Arada (A), Freita (F), Caima (C), Paiva (P), Montemuro (M), Bestança (B) and Douro (D) succeed, up to a total of 114 points of obligatory visit, some even at the edge of the road, others with the access a little more complicated, but all deserving a careful visit.
